The year 2024 marks the 140th anniversary of Breitling’s founding and the 40th anniversary of the birth of Chronomat. The news of the yearend is the release of the Chronomat B01 42 Japan Limited, a Japan limited edition model featuring an unprecedented icy gray dial and a one-tone color with a gray rubber strap.
The red chronograph seconds hand, which stands out in gray tones, adds a sporty touch to the finished piece, making it a truly “quiet luxury” adult timepiece.
The ultimate in sporty elegance! Grey for those who prefer discreet differences
In 1984, when Breitling’s all-purpose watch “Chronomat” was released, ultra-thin quartz watches were flourishing.
Based on the Frecce Tricolori Chronograph, which was developed and introduced in 1983 in collaboration with the famous Italian Air Force, Breitling achieved success with the Chronomat mechanical chronograph.
The Chronomat was remodeled again in 2020 and has evolved into a versatile watch that can be used in any situation. Two years later, the Super Chronomat series with a more prominent 44 mm case diameter was born.
The new Chronomat collection has in common a case with non-curved lugs and an iconic bezel with four rider tabs. In addition, the unique Rouleau bracelet stands out.
