Contemporary elegance and creativity come together in Cartier’s rectangular watch “tank”. As the name suggests, the iconic collection, which was inspired by the composition of a tank seen from above, underwent a bold renewal in January last year with a more modern intensity. And in 2024, the 50th anniversary of the opening of the first boutique in Japan, the “Tank Française” Japan limited edition model has appeared.
The feature of this work is that the dial was designed inspired by the culture of “respecting simplicity” in the tradition of Japan art. The dial has a minimalist and monochrome design that looks like a single piece of embossed paper, and the silver indexes arranged to blend in with the form, changing its expression depending on the amount of light and giving off an elegant beauty.
In addition, the opaline color of the dial is the center, the rhodium-processed silver-colored hands, and the crown is moonstone, all in soft gray tones. The entire watch is finished in a pure and sophisticated design.
