Munich watch brand Chronoswiss, founded in 1983 by Gerd R. Lang, has unveiled its first limited edition Japan “Regulator Manufacture Japan Limited” to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Sales will begin in November 2023.

Invented by the brand’s founder, Lang, in the latter half of the 18th century Regulator The “regulator” is a watch that incorporates a dial into its watches, and can be said to be the origin of Chronoswiss, which has produced watches that fuse traditional watchmaking and innovative technology. This work was also designed based on the regulator at the time of its founding, which has not lost its refined design.
The dial, which displays the hour, minute, and second hands independently, uses a lacquer finishing method in which the surface is sharpened by layering multiple layers of lacquer, and shows a beautiful finish with excellent durability. In addition, the bezel decoration, onion crown, screw fastening lugs, etc., which the founder Lang was particular about.
The style unique to the chair has been inherited.
The Cal.C.122 movement is a high-precision calibre that is also used in the “Regulator Automatic”, which went down in the history of watches as the first automatic regulator watch, and has a power reserve of about 40 hours. This work is a limited edition model of Japan and the quantity is only 20 pieces. It will be priced at 1,485,000 yen and will be released in November.
