Ball Watch, a robust and reliable practical mechanical watch, has unveiled a variant set with the popular black mother-of-pearl dial as a new addition to the Roadmaster series, which has been available in Japan since 2020. The new Roadmaster Pilot GMT Black MOP combines the discreet dial with a chic two-tone ceramic top bezel, making it a rare model limited to 100 Japan pieces. This unit will be available at authorized dealers nationwide from August 2023. The planned suggested retail price is 385,000 yen (tax included).

Each button is slightly rotated (1 click = 60° / 6 clicks to rotate 1 turn) to alternately unlock and lock, preventing erroneous operation and being safe from the viewpoint of waterproof and dustproof. The crown has a maximum of two steps, the first stage is for adjusting the date, and the second stage is for adjusting the time when the non-second hand moves in tandem.
The 24-hour ceramic top bezel, which rotates in both directions, is blue during daylight hours and black during nighttime, and can be used in conjunction with a skeleton-designed GMT hand that makes one lap in 24 hours to display a third time zone different from Greenwich Mean Time or home time. The short hand, on the other hand, can be adjusted independently by two pushbuttons on the left side of the case (10 o’clock button to advance every hour and 8 o’clock button to return every hour). Therefore, you can quickly adjust to the local time at your destination.
Effective use of titanium in cases and bracelets
The current standard size case with a diameter of 40 mm is made of titanium, which has the advantages of being hard, lightweight, and resistant to rust, and has a satin finish on the surface that gives a calm impression. The bracelet is a combination of titanium and SS and optimizes the weight balance to achieve a good fit on the arm. In addition, to enjoy the dynamism of the mechanical movement, a sapphire caseback is used.

Other features include 300 m water resistance for daily use, shockproof construction (5,000 Gs), smart case (14 mm thick), anti-reflective sapphire glass windshield for visibility even in strong sunlight, Swiss C.O.S.C. certified chronometer for high accuracy, and date display to help you during your business time. It is also characterized by high basic performance in pursuit of usability. Of course, the hands and dial are equipped with the self-luminous micro-gaslight that is the symbol of the ball watch, and the ceramic top bezel scale is coated with a phosphorescent Super-LumiNova to ensure good dim visibility.
