Chopard announces the appointment of Keita Inagaki, a national rugby Japan player, as the new ambassador for the brand’s iconic sports watch collection, Alpine Eagle. In mid-April, along with the inaugural announcement, a limited edition Japan was unveiled.
This Japan limited edition is named “SHIKKOKU”, and at the unveiling, an original movie depicted in a magnificent world view will be shown. Mr. Inagaki, who later became an ambassador, appeared wearing an Alpine Eagle in a full-body black formal attire suitable for “SHIKKOKU”. Mr. Inagaki also said, “I like black the most, and I was impressed by the spirit of the craftsman because he was even more deeply particular about black than black. The design of the belt also brings out its strength, and it is a watch that you will want to wear forever.”

The Alpine Eagle SHIKKOKU is produced from 80% recycled steel, with proportions that blend Japan design codes with Zen aesthetics. The dial, as the model name suggests, produces a deep monochrome tone. The movement is equipped with the new Chopard 01.15-C, specially developed by the Chopard Manufacture as a variant of the automatic 01.01-C calibre. Of course, it is chronometer certified, has a power reserve of 60 hours, and is highly complete.
The case size is 41mm, and the see-through back is waterproof to 100m, which is sufficient for a sports watch. It will be sold only at Chopard boutiques in Japan and will be limited to 100 bottles. The price is JPY 2,156,000.
