A limited edition model has been added to the much talked about “The Citizen Mechanical Model Caliber 0200” announced last year. This work features a zirconia ceramics bezel inspired by the Japanese armor and a black dial with irregularities reminiscent of a mallet pattern. It is the electroforming method that Citizen is good at that realizes this complicated pattern of dialing. The leather strap uses Himeji pier. This is a cowhide that has a gorgeous appearance as if innumerable small diamond grains are studded by fusing tanning technology and lacquering technology, and is also called “Samak diamond”. The Cal.0200 to be installed is a special specification that uses a 22K gold rotor and can be viewed through a see-through back. The limited number is only 90.

In 1983, Citizen’s self-winding diver’s watch “Challenge Timer” covered with barnacles was unveiled at Long Reef Beach, Australia. There was no doubt that it had been submerged in the sea for a long time, but what was surprising was that the individual was operating without flooding. This work was developed based on the design of the “challenge timer” that has this anecdote. The clean design without crown guard and the case diameter follow the original, while the case is made of lightweight and robust super titanium, and is equipped with the self-winding movement Cal.9051 with excellent magnetic resistance. The thickness of the case is suppressed to 12.3 mm, and it is thinly finished even though it is a diver’s watch. There are two lineups, a black dial model with a urethane band and a blue dial model with a super titanium bracelet.
The movement is equipped with Cal.9906, which is the latest generation hand-wound chronograph movement and has acquired master chronometer certification. It features a plate that covers most of the movement and the arabesque Côtes de Genève pattern on it. By adopting the relatively thin Cal.9906, the finished thickness of this work is suppressed to 12.99 mm, and the combination with the thin bezel to be combined has acquired a slim and fearless image.
In addition, green, blue, and red are available as dial color variations, and the phosphorescent material and index are white, giving a modern atmosphere.

A limited edition model was announced to commemorate the first anniversary of the “Series Eight” brand restart. It is dressed in an all-black exterior with Duratect DLC on stainless steel, and the dial is made of lightweight and tough carbon. The two-body bezel is polished into a hairline and a polish, giving it a single-colored yet three-dimensional finish. A diver’s watch equipped with Eco-Drive, which was added to “Citizen Promaster”. The motif is the endangered whale shark, and the dial reminiscent of the deep sea is decorated with a pattern inspired by the spots of the whale shark. The case with four bezel guards is made of super titanium, which is about five times harder than stainless steel, and is sandblasted to give it a tough impression. The case back is engraved with a magnificent silhouette of the whale shark. Limited to 5,000 pieces worldwide, they can be stored in a special box.
