Swiss watchmaker “Breitling” has released the Japan limited edition model “Chronomat B01 42” to commemorate the 140th anniversary of its founding and the 40th anniversary of the birth of Chronomat. It is a limited edition model with only 150 pieces.

“Chronomat” was born in 1984. Originally, it was a model that boldly challenged the market as a mechanical watch in opposition to the ultra-thin quartz watches that were flourishing at the time. It has its origins in the chronograph introduced in 1983 in collaboration with the Italian Air Force Frecce Tricolori, which once again made the world aware of the Breitling tradition and the value of mechanical chronographs.

The new “Chronomat B01 42” features a gray-colored dial with an unprecedented inorganic atmosphere and a gray rubber belt of the same color. And the red chronograph seconds hand is an exquisite accent.
This time, it will be equipped with the Manufacture Calibre 01, a COSC-approved chronometer. The skeleton’s caseback is engraved with “ONE OF 150” and you can admire the beauty of the movement. The selling price will be 1,155,000 yen.
