SuperOcean was renewed in the summer of 2022. Rooted in Breitling’s Superocean Slow Motion released in the 1960s ~ 70s, it has been renewed with a modern retro design with modern features. The Japan limited edition that debuts from the new Super Ocean is an all-white model with a 42mm case and a rubber strap of the same color as the white dial. It is also recommended to wear it as a pair watch along with the 36mm Super Ocean released earlier.
SuperOcean Automatic 42 Japan Edition
The first Japan limited edition model from the new SuperOcean is now available. The “Super Ocean Automatic 42 Japan Edition” is a model that is unified in white and features a sleek and active style. While maintaining the iconic design of the common square, minute hands and wide indexes, the white dial features a red accented second hand and model name.
Automatic winding (cal. Breitling 17/ETA2824). 25 stone. 28,800 vibrations per hour. COSC certified chronometer. Power reserve about 38 hours. SS (diameter 42 mm, thickness 12.5 mm). Water resistant to 300m. 594,000 yen (tax included).
The strap was equipped with white rubber. The folding clasp allows fine adjustment of up to about 10 mm, making it easy to attach over rash guards or wetsuits. The stainless steel 42 mm case features a unidirectional rotating bezel with ratchet. The scratch-resistant ceramic bezel is fitted with no risk of wear or fading. The self-winding Breitling Calibre 17 has a two-year warranty and a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. It is also recommended as a pair watch with the SuperOcean Automatic 36 of the same color.
