All three models in 18-carat white gold case combine the Manufacture’s signature style of satin and polish to finish the bezel, case and bracelet chamfering. The grand tapestry pattern, the design signature of the collection, adorns the dial. This time, it shines with soft shades of blue from sky blue to marine blue. The hour and minute hands are phosphorescently treated, and the applied indices shimmer with gold facets (double indexes at 12 o’clock). The Flying Tourbillon version is set with baguette-cut diamonds.
At 12 o’clock, instead of the AP monogram logo, the Manufacture’s signature brand logo shines. The indexes, made of galvanic and layered layers of gold, are attached to the dial using tiny legs. This signature logo, which is made using a method similar to 3D printing, was very difficult to manufacture due to the long letters, and took three years to develop.
The line of these three models was overhauled on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the 2022 collection. The slopes on the upper and lower sides of the case have been wider, making the overall silhouette of the watch lighter. The caseback fits slightly into the center of the case for a better fit and comfort on the wrist. On both the 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock sides of the case, the first frame of the bracelet is trapezoidal instead of rectangular, creating a smooth and narrowing flow of the bracelet.
Both have a sapphire caseback and you can see the self-winding movement on board. The power reserve varies depending on the model, but ranges from about 65 to 70 hours.
