Breitling has announced the new Chronomat B01 42 Japan Edition. Based on the “Chronomat B01 42”, this new model features an ice blue dial and diamond bezel. Only 50 pieces will be sold in Japan.
Elegant “Chronomat” to color the holiday season
Breitling’s flagship model, “Chronomat B01 42”, has a Japan limited model. The feature of this work is a gorgeous dial and bezel that is perfect for the holiday season. Combined with the powerful design of Chronomat, it is finished in one with outstanding presence.
The dial is a popular ice blue color for its elegance. By making the three in-dials black, a sense of condensation is given. The 12-hour counter at the 6 o’clock position has a date display, but it blends well with the in-dial, so it doesn’t look complicated.
Inheriting the features of the Chronomat released in 1984, it adopted a rider tab on the bezel, an onion crown, and a Rouleaux bracelet. Although this product is based on a strong sports watch, it has an elegant design suitable for the party scene.
Around the dial are 112 diamonds. Totaling 1.03 carats, the diamonds are set in two circles on the bezel and give off a dazzling glow. The rider tabs placed every 15 minutes, which is also a feature of the Chronomat, are still present in this work, and the bezel can also be used to measure time.
The case is made of stainless steel with a diameter of 42 mm. It has a classical onion crown and two chronograph pushers. Since the pusher is not a screw-in type, it is possible to start the chronograph immediately at the moment of thought.
The bracelet is the Rouleaux bracelet that was also attached to the Chronomat sold in 1984. As the French word means “wrapped”, it is composed of a number of cylindrical tops connected together, and is characterized by a smooth fit.
The transparent caseback reveals the Caliber B01, an in-house self-winding chronograph movement. The B01 boasts a high level of practicality, with its high precision COSC-certified chronometer, power reserve of approximately 70 hours, and a structure that eliminates the prohibition period for fast-forwarding the calendar.
Available exclusively at Breitling boutiques and online boutiques, this timepiece is limited to just 50 pieces. The caseback is engraved with the words “ONE OF 50”, indicating that it is a limited edition.
