Regulator Manufacture Japan Limited
In 1987, Gerd R. Lang introduced the regulator, a watch based on a regulator dial invented in the late 18th century. This watch is known as the first mass-produced watch with a regulator dial. Since then, Chronoswiss has launched a range of modern mechanical timepieces based on traditional watchmaking, with various functions in the regulator dial and beautiful dial decoration such as guilloché engraving and CVD coating.
In November, the “Regulator JapanManufacture Limited Edition,” which is based on the regulator at the time of its founding, which has not lost its refined design even after more than 30 years of development, will be released in a limited edition of 20 pieces.
The movement is equipped with Cal.C.122, a high-precision movement that was also installed in the “Regulator Automatic”, which went down in the history of watches as the first automatic regulator watch announced by Chronoswiss in 1990.
Unlike the design of the three hands of hour, minute, and second seen in general wristwatches, the hour, minute, and second hands are displayed independently.
Founder Gerd R. Lang’s focus on bezel decoration, onion crowns, and screw-fastened lugs have inherited the style unique to Chronoswiss.
The dial uses a lacquer finish method in which the surface is sharpened by layering several layers of lacquer. It gives the dial a complex expression and has a beautiful finish with excellent durability.
