On June 15, Citizen Watch will release four Star Wars limited edition models based on the retro-designed Thermo Sensor watch. Reservations will be available from May 4, Star Wars Day. It is a quartz watch and costs 44,000 yen. Limited quantity.
The original model of the “Thermo Sensor” was released in 1982. Equipped with the world’s first temperature measurement function, it was a combination watch between analog and digital. This Star Wars limited edition model is based on a reprint of the thermo sensor design that appeared in 2022.
R2-D2 (JG2121-54A)
There are four design motifs: the R2-D2, C-3PO, the X-wing fighter, and the Millennium Falcon spaceship. Each motif is engraved on the back cover and stored in a Japan limited special box. A card printed with each character is also included.
The R2-D2 and C-3PO are limited to 300 pieces each, and the X-wing Starfighter and Millennium Falcon are limited to 200 pieces each.
Both cases and bracelets are made of stainless steel, and colored models are plated. The windshield is crystal glass. Water resistance is 5 ATM. The battery life is about 2 years. The movement is Cal.8989 and is equipped with stopwatch, alarm, calendar and thermometer functions. The size is 33.4mm wide and 9.7mm thick.
