Swiss luxury watch brand EDOX will release the Neptunian Automatic Japan Limited Edition on Thursday, March 7 at authorized retailers nationwide and the Edox online store.

The inside of the black butterfly shell is thinly sliced and processed into a dial. The color base is black, which has shades of black, and is characterized by a unique luster that shines in iridescent colors depending on the amount of light. The fantastic nuances expressed by the sea-derived black butterfly shell evoke the mystique of the deep sea ruled by Neptune, the god of the sea, and add a stylish impression to the simple three-needle design. Since each one is a natural material with a different pattern, you can enjoy it as a one-of-a-kind item.

A diver’s watch in the shape of a sea god

The sturdy and robust case, screw-down crown and 3 mm thick sapphire crystal windshield ensure high water resistance of 100 bar / 1,000 metres. The caseback is engraved with Neptune, the god of the sea, embodying the brand concept of “THE WATER CHAMPION”.

Super-LumiNova Grade X1

Hands and indexes are coated with luminescent paint Super-LumiNova. Super-LumiNova has three ranks: Standard, Grade A, and Grade X1, and this model uses the highest rank, Grade X1. Compared to the standard, it boasts up to 1.6 times the amount of light emitted even after 2 hours, and is excellent in dark places such as at night and underwater.

Auto Helium Escape Valve

Equipped with an auto helium escape valve at 9 o’clock in the case. Helium gas that has entered the watch during saturation diving is automatically discharged, and plays a role in preventing the watch from rupturing due to the difference in pressure between inside and outside. It is a detail that allows you to visually enjoy the charm of a diver’s watch.

316L stainless steel

The case and bracelet are made of 316L stainless steel, which is rust-resistant and gentle on the skin, which is also used in medical instruments. The hairline finish, which features an elongated streak pattern, and the mirror finish, which provides a mirror-like luster, are combined to create a calm and luxurious feel.

Diving Bezel

High-tech ceramic inserts on the bezel surface. It has the same high hardness as sapphire, has excellent scratch and corrosion resistance, and maintains the aesthetics of the watch for a long time. Operability is improved by adding small bumps to the sides. In consideration of the risk of overestimating the remaining oxygen level due to incorrect operation during diving, it is designed to prevent unidirectional rotation.
