It was born in the encounter with the International Motor Boat Racing Class One Powerboat World Championship, the pinnacle of powerboat racing and also known as the “F1 of the Sea”.
The thrilling world of racing with four 1200 hp engines has a high affinity with Edox, which continues to pour its passion for watchmaking into it.
Bought for its excellent timekeeping accuracy and waterproof performance, Edox served as the official timekeeper of the race from 2008 to 2014, and in 2008 the first generation “Chrono Offshore 1”, which was called “Class One” at the time, was born as a model that projected its powerful and luxurious world view.
Equipped with a uniquely designed double-O-ring and helium escape valve, it achieves a strong waterproof performance of 500 meters.
The chronograph, with its scratch-resistant full ceramic bezel fastened by screws bearing the brand’s logo, garnered great praise and has remained unshakable as a flagship model ever since.

Now, from such an iconic collection, a special model limited to Japan will soon appear.
The Chrono Offshore 1, which is a huge hit in the Japan market, has been releasing attractive limited edition models in the past, but this season it will be available in all-black, with everything from the dial to the bezel to the case and buttons dressed in jet black.
The champion number is embed with a black diamond as a symbol of strength. It is a special specification limited to Japan
It has a voluminous size of 45 mm in diameter and 15.5 mm in thickness, but it is light and comfortable to wear by using grade 2 titanium, which has lightness and strength.
The unique case construction, screw-down crown, and sapphire crystal windshield with a thickness of 3 mm provide excellent water resistance of 100 bar (1000 m). In addition, the autohelium escape valve and unidirectional rotating bezel ensure safety in the water.
The jet-black body is inspired by the deep sea at a depth of 1000 meters. The titanium case, main dial, dark gray hands, and silver indexes are unified with a matte texture that suppresses gloss, expressing a world of the deep sea where sunlight reaches only 1/100 trillion of the sea surface.
On the other hand, the in-dial is finished with a Mr./Ms. finish to ensure visibility and enjoy the change in texture.
The dial design with the Arabic numeral “1”, which is the champion number, is an icon of this model, but in the limited edition, this number is embedded with five round-cut black diamonds, adding adult elegance to the tough world view.
It is a glossy sports chronograph that looks good with a dressed-up evening outfit.
