The German mechanical watch brand “Sinn / Sinn”, which is the sole import agent of Hotta Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President: Mineaki Hotta), is a new product in 2023 Jet fighter F 4 known as “Phantom”
The second of Japan limited edition pilot’s watches produced to honor the Phantom II’s retirement at Japan, the 556. F 4 will be on sale from August.
The F-4 Phantom II fighter, which is popular with aviation fans, has been operated by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force since 1971 under the name F-4EJ in Japan, and in December 2020, the 301st Squadron of Hyakuri Air Base finished operating the F-4 Phantom. On March 17, 2021, the last flight was completed at the Gifu Air Base Flight Development Experimental Group, and the F-4 in Japan was completely retired.
The new 556.F-4.II is based on the Model 556, which specializes in minimal functions, and features a navy color and bar index on the dial inspired by the sky, and stands out the unit marks of the eight squadrons equipped with F-4 Phantoms of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. This newly dated sapphire crystal glass is water-resistant to 20 bar, and the rotor visible from the see-through back case back is engraved with the Phantom official character “Spook”.
This watch is a special edition of 200 watches, limited to 200 pieces, with the excellent functionality of a pilot’s watch that meets the high demands of Jin professionals, as well as phantom elements throughout.
