The Japan Air Self-Defense Force is responsible for Japan’s aviation and space defense, which celebrates its 70th anniversary this year. A new work named “Blue Impulse” has been released from Ball Watch, which showcases the skill, performance, and operational capabilities of the Air Self-Defense Force’s fighter pilots and aircraft, demonstrating their mission capabilities and performing brilliant aerobatics.
Equipped with a “chronograph” function that can measure elapsed time up to 12 hours, the blue impulse logo is designed on the seconds display subdial at 9 o’clock, depicting six aircraft unfolding a single formation in the sky. As a professional watch with unparalleled durability and reliability, it also has a magnetic resistance of 1000 gauss and an impact resistance of 7500 Gs.
The bezel is available in two variants, stainless steel and ceramic, both priced at 484,000 yen. The quantity is limited to Japan, 70 pieces each, making it a valuable model.
Pre-orders will start around mid-June at authorized retailers nationwide or official online boutiques in Japan, but we recommend the official online boutique where you can choose your favorite number from the Japan limited number (01/70~70/70) and make a reservation.
