The ADO Air 20 MIXBIKE was developed in collaboration with ADO, a popular electric assist bicycle manufacturer in the EU. Unlike conventional 3-way mobility, it is suitable for Japan traffic conditions that can be used differently from bicycles and electrically assisted bicycles that do not require number registration, and electric motorcycles that require number registration.
What is the next-generation e-bike “MIXBIKE”?
A next-generation e-bike that fuses three models based on the concept of “bicycle, electric reed, and sometimes moped”. It can be used as a bicycle, as an electric assist bicycle, or as an electric motorcycle. The ADO Air 20 MIXBIKE is Japan’s first three-wield electric bicycle (bicycle, electric assist bicycle, and moped) that can run on public roads.
Conventional 3-way mobility vehicles with bicycle, electric assist bicycle, and electric motorcycle functions are all treated as mopeds, so it is necessary to register a number. Therefore, even if it can be used as a bicycle, it can only be run on the roadway, and it is difficult to use it properly.
However, the ADO Air 20 MIXBIKE can be used for bicycles and electric motorcycles that do not require license registration by removing the parts at home. The style can be changed according to the application, and it is possible to move without being tied to the road on which you are driving.
This highly flexible next-generation mobility MIXBIKE is patent-pending and is a new function only for Japan. In addition, even if it is currently unregistered with a license or number, it will be possible to use it as an electric motorcycle by obtaining it at a later date.
