Breitling, one of Switzerland’s leading watchmakers, has announced the Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Blue Impulse, a Japan limited edition model, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the return of the Air Self-Defense Force’s aerobatic team “Blue Impulse” to the sky. Named after the official unit name of Blue Impulse “11th Squadron”, 111 bottles limited to Japan were sold.

Based on the Avenger B01 Chronograph designed for jet pilots, the film features a 44mm stainless steel case. It has been given sophisticated aviation details, such as four rider tabs and grip patterns on the unidirectional rotating bezel in 60-minute increments, and a new square pusher designed for smooth timekeeping.
The blue dial, which is inspired by the “T-4” aircraft used by the Blue Impulse, has an overwhelming Blue Impulse emblem at 3 o’clock. In addition, it is a special specification with “T-4” printed on the caseback.
The movement is equipped with the COSC certified chronometer “Manufacture Calibre 01”, which is the highest certification standard for precision and reliability. It can be seen through the sapphire crystal caseback.
The timepiece is paired with a triple stainless steel belt with a finely adjustable diploy buckle. It is a limited edition of 111 models made only for Japan and is priced at 1,221,000 yen.
