S Series New Frame with More Expandability
The S series uses a 12mm thru-axle carbon fork equipped with a steel frame, which is the eighteenth number of JAMIS BIKES, a bottle pedestal on both sides, and a 12mm thru-axle at the rear. This new frame is a model that is more conscious of expandability, and the tire clearance can be installed with gravel tires of 700×45 in all sizes.
In addition, the front fork is variable and the front fender can be installed on the 700×45c. As for the frame, the S2 will continue to use the Reynolds 631, and the S3/S4/S5 will continue to use the Reynolds 520. SST (Size Specific Tubing), a technology that optimizes the thickness of pipes for each size, is also alive and well.
In addition, the 650B’s wheel customization, which is popular with cyclists who prefer customization, also secures a tire clearance of 2.0 inches.
There are no major changes to the components of the S3/S4/S5, but the new S2 GRX12-speed is adopted. It will be a model with gravel racing in mind.
Coloring is not only earth tones, but also coloring that shines in the city. S2 is a new flat moss (matte color). In addition to the international color Kinettik Gray (matte color), the S3 has a lineup of Japan limited colors such as pure white, a popular gloss color, and navy pearl, which was also used by the CX racing team. In addition to Riptide for the International, the S4 uses Deep Purple, which was released in 2018 for a limited time in 2018 and sold out immediately, for the Japan limited color. In addition, a new color rare earth has been added to the lineup.
In addition, the S5, a model limited to Japan, has been added to the lineup for the first time in three years. In the past, it was a limited edition model in the spring, but this time it is a catalog lineup. The coloring uses charcoal, which is also the image color of Renegade. It is easy to customize clothes and colors. The size lineup is available in 6 sizes of 48, 51, 54, 56, 58, and 61 cm (S2 is available in 5 sizes up to 58). S2 is scheduled for late January next year, while S3/S4/S5 will be delivered sequentially from November 2023 to early January 2024.
