The historic Swiss watch brand “Nivada Grenchen” has been revived, and the independent watch brand “UNDONE” continues to take on challenges such as incorporating pop culture. These two normally irreconcilable opposites present a new collaborative watch that defies convention.
■ Nivada and UNDONE collaborate for the first time
Since its founding in 1926, Nivada has been producing watches filled with innovative ideas and technology in each era. Revived in 2019. Since then, he has released reproduction models faithful to the original, such as Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver, Antarctic, and Depthmaster.
On the other hand, Andane, which was born in 2014 and conveys various stories through watches with its own style, has worked on numerous collaborations, including vintage-style customized watches. We sell unique contemporary watches that pay homage to history with a fan base of watch enthusiasts around the world.
And this time, Andon will be working on the reprint design of Nivada’s historic diver’s watch “Depthmaster”.
■ About Depthmaster
The origin of “Depth Master”, which is the basis of this work, is 1965. It appeared as a Swiss made diver’s watch boasting a revolutionary 1000m water resistance at the time. In particular, it has been nicknamed “Pac-Man” among watch enthusiasts due to the unique shape of the index, which was influenced by Art Deco.

The collaboration of Nivada Grenchen x UNDONE is expected to become a series. Depthmaster, the first to be commemorated, has appeared as a special model of only 200 pieces limited to Japan. It is scheduled to be sold on the UNDONE official website from early December.

A watch brand founded in 1926 in the Grenchen district of Switzerland. Focusing on the manufacture of self-winding watches from the early days of its founding, in 1950, announced the waterproof self-winding watch “Antarctic”. When this is adopted for the Antarctic expedition of the US Navy, it becomes a widely known brand. After that, in 1965, we announced the “Depthmaster” with a water resistance of 1000m, which was rare at the time. While loved by watch enthusiasts, it was closed once in 1980. After that, when it was revived in 2019, it announced reprints of historical models one after another.
