The Berlingo has been the best-selling model that has accounted for about half of the domestic sales of Citroën vehicles since its introduction in Japan in October 2020.
Initially, only a short-body, two-row (capacity 5 people) height wagon specification was available, but in January 2023, the Berlingo Long, a long-body, three-row (capacity 7 people) minivan specification, was added to expand the lineup.
The short body is 4405mm long×1850mm wide× 1850mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2785mm.
The long body is 4770mm long× 1850mm wide× 1870mm high and has a wheelbase of 2975mm.
Both combine a simple and functional design with good loading capacity, and are gaining support from a wide range of people such as families as models that can be used for multiple purposes.
The engine is common to both models, a 1.5-liter inline 4-cylinder diesel turbo. It delivers a maximum output of 130 ps and a maximum torque of 300 Nm and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
