The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the core model of Mercedes-Benz, which has sold more than 14 million units worldwide. Since the W136/191 was announced in 1946, it has always been ahead of its time and has adopted innovative technologies and has been regarded as an indicator of premium sedans in the world. The conventional E-Class, which has been on sale in Japan since 2016, has gained high support, ranking fourth in imported vehicle sales in 2017 and fifth in the following year.
In 2020, the new generation steering wheel was adopted for the first time, and the interactive infotainment system “MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience)” and the safe driving assistance system were updated to Mercedes-Benz’s latest systems.
The special edition car that has appeared this time is based on the current E-Class top performance model “Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4MATIC+”. The powertrain is the M177, a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine that produces 612ps/850Nm, mated to the AMG Speedshift MCT (Multi-Clutch Technology), a 9-speed automatic transmission that uses a wet multi-plate clutch instead of a torque converter. The body color is graphite gray magno (matte color), which is prepared only for this special edition car. On the side, a special decal with a design reminiscent of the AMG logo mark and carbon fiber parts are decorated everywhere, creating a dynamic and powerful exterior that embodies outstanding sports performance boasting 0-100km/h acceleration in 3.4 seconds.
Other highlights include forged 20-inch AMG cross-spoke wheels, AMG carbon ceramic brakes, AMG logo projector, and C-pillars with special AMG emblems.
In the interior, the exclusive badge “FINAL EDITION 1 of 999” of this special edition car is installed on the center console. It proves to be a special one that will be the final model of the E 63.
In addition, the interior consists of two colors of AMG Nappa leather titanium gray pearl and black with yellow stitching, and the AMG performance seat, which was not available in the regular model, and the AMG performance steering with yellow stitching are adopted to create an interior that supports dynamic driving. In addition, seat ventilators[driver’s and passenger’s seats]are used to prevent stuffiness in the parts in contact with the seats in hot weather, carbon throughout the trim, and a panoramic riding roof that creates a sense of openness are adopted.
