Sailor Fountain Pen (President: Katsuya Machi, Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo) will release a limited number of “Rencontre Fountain Pen” at Sailor fountain pen dealers nationwide from July 23, 2023.
Rencontre Fountain Pen
Lancontre is a French word meaning “encounter”.
This series combines acrylic resin with excellent transparency and durability with an elegant marble pattern, and is realized with our unique technology.
The two ingredients melt irregularly and mix, giving shape to a certain shape. The pattern that appears is unique. No two are alike.
Please enjoy such a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with your own marble pattern created by an unprecedented combination of materials and designs.
● About marble pattern
The marble pattern body that symbolizes this series is made using the same injection molding method as ordinary resin parts.
It is only possible to create a beautiful pattern under limited conditions so that the two colors blend together moderately without melting too much.
Marble pattern resin molding technology has existed for a long time, but by making it possible to mold with acrylic resin, which was technically difficult, with our unique technology, we were able to realize a marble pattern with gloss and depth.

The Lin Contre fountain pen was released in January 2023 in a three-color lineup.
This time, three types of coloring with the theme of “nature” are adopted. It will be released in limited quantities.
