Montegrappa, a long-established Italian fountain pen brand, has announced the Automobili Lamborghini 60°, a limited collection of fountain pens and rollerballs to commemorate Lamborghini’s 60th anniversary.
Inspired by 1960s supercars
Montegrappa’s products characterized by beautiful decoration. To celebrate Lamborghini’s 60th anniversary, a fountain pen and rollerball inspired by the supercars of the 1960s were introduced.
Founded in 1912 in Bassano del Grappa, Italy, Montegrappa is a long-established brand that has many fans around the world for its beautiful decoration, which can be said to be a work of art. In addition to writing instruments such as fountain pens and rollerballs, they also offer cufflinks and watches.
The Automobili Lamborghini 60°, created in collaboration with Lamborghini, is a limited collection of fountain pens and rollerballs inspired by the design of supercars of the 1960s. It fuses advanced materials with futuristic design and is developed with an all-Italian focus.
The collection includes six Lamborghini colors: Arancio Apodis, Bianco Siderale, Verde Viper, Blue Aegeus, Grigio Titans, and Nero Noctis. A total of 720 fountain pens and rollerballs will be sold in a limited edition.
Delicately designed details
In addition to the Lamborghini 60th anniversary logo, the fountain pen nib features the Automobili Lamborghini emblem in 18K gold.
This time, ultra-lightweight materials such as aerospace aluminum and forged carbon fiber are used. The fountain pen quickly fills ink with a single touch thanks to Montegrappa’s power push. Both models featured a unique release system that provided quick access to the ink chamber. Inspired by Lamborghini’s iconic red toggle starter button, the pen has a red alloy snap switch at the base.
A screwless safety locking cap was introduced, and a black alloy Y-shaped clip embossed and a hexagonal plate with the 60th anniversary emblem highlighted the limited edition model. The fountain pen was engraved with the Automobili Lamborghini emblem in 18K gold on the ruthenium-plated nib. All products are housed in a 60th anniversary black collector’s case.
