The dial of this work expresses the natural beauty peculiar to Japan called “Sakurakakushi”, which refers to the appearance of snow covering the blooming spring cherry blossoms. “Sakurakakushi” is a seasonal word used in the Tohoku region where “Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi”, which manufactures mechanical models of Grand Seiko, is located. Inspiration from the ephemeral and beautiful scenery of spring, where snow and cherry blossoms coexist, is reproduced with a delicate stamped pattern and a grayish pink color.
Along with the dignified appearance created by the powerful mirror case of 44GS, it is a beautiful model that complements the neat dial with the adoption of box glass that feels warmth, the well-balanced thin abbreviations newly developed according to the miniaturization of the case, and the hands.
