The Corvette Silver Frame Series is a special edition model released by GM Japan in September 2024 exclusively for Japan.
The base models are the “3LT” and “Convertible”, and are available in two body types, coupe and convertible, each with two different color variations.
The price (including consumption tax) was 17.7 million yen for the coupe and 19.2 million yen for the convertible, and only 40 units were sold.
The most distinctive feature of the series is the sterling silver engine cover that covers the 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine with a maximum output of 502 horsepower and a maximum torque of 637 Nm.
This design was adopted as a tribute to the first Corvette.
While the original model was impressive with its beautiful silver radiator sub-tank, the Silver Frame Series continues with a sterling silver engine cover.
To make this cover stand out even more, a special “Engine Appearance Package” is also available.
For example, a coupe will have an additional decorative panel around the engine, while a convertible will have an “engine bay panel” with clear windows.
Convertibles, in particular, are designed to highlight the beauty around the engine when the roof is opened and closed.
In addition, emblems and nameplates such as the “chrome exterior badge” indicating that it is a special model are also adopted, which is unusual equipment for a Corvette.
It is available in two color variations: the bright “Accelerate Yellow Metallic” typical of the Corvette and the “Carbon Flash Metallic” with its impressive silver racing stripes, and is available for the coupe and convertible.
