“This collection can be said to be the flagship of Edox, whose brand concept is ‘THE WATER CHAMPION’.
The collection is inspired by the dynamic and luxurious world view of powerboat racing, also known as F1 of the sea, and is equipped with a heavy ceramic bezel with a thickness of 3.5mm or more and 300~1000m water resistance as standard specifications. The new Chrono Offshore 1 Chronograph Japan Limited Edition features a black mother-of-pearl dial specially designed for limited edition Japan models. The “1”, which is the proof of champion in the racing world, is designed with diamonds to express our strong commitment to the champion.
Another feature of the dial is a tachymeter scale on the outer circumference of the dial, which can calculate the average speed in conjunction with the chronograph hands.
In addition, a special case construction, screw-down crown and a 3 mm thick sapphire crystal windshield make it water-resistant to 50 bar (500 m). It is also equipped with an auto helium escape valve and a unidirectional rotating bezel, making it a high-spec diver’s watch with enhanced safety.
Another point is that the bezel material uses high-tech ceramic. It has the same high hardness and scratch resistance as sapphire, and is resistant to corrosion and deformation, keeping the appearance of the watch beautiful. The four screws on the bezel are original parts with the motif of the brand emblem hourglass.
In addition, the unevenness engraved on the back cover with the motif of the screw that powers the powerboat prevents close contact with the arm and realizes a comfortable fit. The straps are mounted downward rather than laterally to create a rounded silhouette along the arm.
