I’ve always longed to write smoothly with a fountain pen, but I couldn’t get my hands on it.
If you try to choose it at the store, you will feel intimidated, and you will be anxious to buy an expensive fountain pen online without …… trial.
Just as I was about to give up, I found a fountain pen that I could buy at an affordable price.
Affordable LAMY fountain pen

That’s the LAMY safari fountain pen.
Among the various lineups in colors and designs, I chose the limited edition color Savannah Green released in 2021.
I fell in love at first sight with the retro colors and stylish design.
After all, it’s a revival of the original color of Rummy Safari.
There are three types of nibs: ultra-fine EF (0.38 mm), fine F (0.5 mm), and medium M (0.7 mm).
I like to write in fine print, so I chose the ultra-fine EF (0.38mm).

When I picked it up, I fell in love with it more and more
When I picked up the fountain pen that arrived, I fell in love with the design even more.
The deep green gives it a casual feel, while the matte texture gives it a sophisticated feel.
The jet-black nib matches the green of the main body, which is wonderful!
And the black wire grip tightens the overall impression. The strength of this grip is surprisingly strong, so you can firmly hold a fountain pen in your breast pocket.
In addition, it is said that it is a specification that you can check the remaining amount of ink from the “window” in the center of the main body.
It is a dish where you can feel the attention to detail.

It comes with blue cartridge ink, so you can start writing right away just by putting the cartridge on.
When I actually wrote it, I was surprised at how smooth it was.
It’s my first fountain pen, so I don’t know if it’s more comfortable to write than other fountain pens.
I realized that this is what it means to be able to write with a fountain pen without exerting force.
While there is a large indentation where you hold it, and I feel that it is easy to put your fingers on it, I thought that depending on how you hold the fountain pen, the shape of the indentation may or may not fit.
Also, the cap can be attached to the main body, but if the cap is attached, the fountain pen itself will feel heavy and long, so I personally felt that it was easier to write with the cap on.

When I was about to run out of blue ink, I wanted to write in black, so I decided to change the ink.

I would like to try ink inhalation with a converter and ink sold separately…… So I bought a converter for LAMY Safari.
For my first bottle of ink, I chose LAMY’s.
The shape of the bottle ink is characterized by a convex bottom.
It is designed so that it is easy to inhale the ink until the end.
In addition, there is a blotting paper at the base that allows you to wipe dirty nibs and fingers.
Simply attach the converter to the fountain pen body and turn the red knob of the converter to complete the inhalation of ink.
Even after inhalation, it is as comfortable to write as ever! Safely, ink inhalation is also mastered (?) Done.
