As a new model for 2024, Cartier will release a Japan limited edition model of “Tank Française” on Friday, March 15, 2024.
Since 1996, when the original model was born, the “Tank Française” has inherited the timeless charm and French style of the “Tank”. The iconic collection underwent a bold revamp in January 2023 and has been transformed into a new staple with a more modern force. And this year, 2024, which marks the 50th anniversary of the opening of the first boutique in Japan, a Japan limited edition model will be unveiled.
Featuring a minimalist and monochrome design that looks like a single sheet of embossed paper, the dial was inspired by the culture of “respecting simplicity” in the tradition of Japan art. The silver indexes blend in with the shape of the dial and change their expression depending on the amount of light.
In addition, the crown is moonstone, the hands are rhodium-coated silver, and the dial is opaline, all in soft gray tones, giving the entire watch a pure and sophisticated design.
