The independent watch brand “BEHRENS” has announced a new collaboration model “Ace of Heart” with independent watchmaker Konstantin Chaikin.

The new collection, which will be the first in three years since the collaboration between the two companies that attracted attention in 2022, is a limited collection that combines the asymmetrical design of the brand’s iconic “Ultralight” with the playfulness found in Chaikin’s masterpiece “Joker”.

After Chaikin presented “Joker” at the 2017 Basel Fair and received international acclaim, “Crown” won the category prize at the Geneva Watch Grand Prix the following year. He became known for his humorous expressions, and this “Ace of Heart” continues that trend.

The design has a crescent-shaped mouth that resembles an ancient Chinese ceramic doll, and the tip of the second hand has been changed from a spade to a heart, giving it a more striking look. The left and right eyes indicate the hours and minutes, and the forehead is equipped with a new power reserve indicator. The second hand moves as if tracing the outer circumference of a heart shape using a mechanism patented by the brand.

In addition, the center adopts the in-house calibre “BM07” that incorporates patented technology. It has a hand-wound operation of about 46 hours and is waterproof to 5 atmospheres. The case size is 37×42mm, and both the front and back are made of sapphire crystal. Two fluoroelastomer belts are included.

The lineup includes multiple models such as the Great 5 titanium model, carbon and sapphire crystal. The planned sales price will be from 1.65 million yen to 3.3 million yen.
