A Japan-only model based on Dr. Martin’s iconic 8-hole boots “1460” and 3-hole shoes “1461” is now available. With the theme of TOKYO, this collection is a modern update of the brand’s iconic silhouette.
This model is equipped with a BEX sole and adopts a chic gray color for the stitching. The design pays homage to Japan’s fashion sensibilities and craftsmanship, and the sophisticated finish sets it apart from the global collection. Based on the “monochrome aesthetic”, it embodies the brand’s spirit of staying authentic and constantly creating new value.
The main visual features Suchmos’ vocalist YONCE. The message is “To those who create new value while cherishing the past.” The filming was done by filmmaker and photographer Tomokazu Yamada. His approach to capturing layers of realistic cityscapes and memories echoes the brand’s theme.
In addition, on November 28th (Friday), an additional visual featuring a new cast member by Yamada will be released. For the holiday season, the fusion of expression by brands and creators continues.
Dr. Martin will also be hosting a free live event suitable for the holiday season. It looks like it will be a special one-night stand where music, style, and self-expression intersect.
