Swiss luxury watch brand EDOX will release the Japan-exclusive model of the “Neptunian Grande Reserve” on Friday, June 5. Tailored to the aesthetic preferences of the Japanese market, this model features an all-black exterior and a non-date design, returning to the essence of a diver’s watch: ‘reading the time accurately.’

This Japan-exclusive model features a stainless steel case with black PVD coating, and the bezel, dial, and strap are all unified in black. This black is not just about the all-black coloring aspect; it is meant to suppress unnecessary light and information, guiding the viewer toward the necessary elements. By toning down the exterior’s prominence, it helps recognize the hands and indexes on the dial, creating a state where only time naturally emerges.

While typical diver’s watches emphasize instant readability underwater, ensuring visibility through strong color schemes and clear contrast, this watch adopts an approach of “quiet visibility” in low-light environments.
