Google has announced its new Android smartphone, the Google Pixel 10a. The release date is April 14th, and pre-orders have already begun. The price is 79,900 yen~. At the same time, a Japan-limited color “Isai Blue” has also been announced, which will be released on May 20th at the same price.

“Pixel 10a” is the latest model of the A series that pursues a balance between cost and performance in a Google smartphone. It was announced globally and was indicated that it would be released in Japan, but this time the release date has been decided. In addition to Google direct sales, it will also be sold by NTT DoCoMo, au, Softbank, and Rakuten Mobile.
New design and increased durability of the back flat
The chassis has been renovated to a completely flat design on the back. The shape of the camera bar blends seamlessly into the back, keeping it flat everywhere.

With an emphasis on sustainability, it is the first in the A series to use recycled cobalt and gold, as well as a 100% recycled aluminum frame with a satin finish and a back cover made of 81% recycled plastic.

The 6.3-inch Actua display is 11% brighter than its predecessor, the Pixel 9a, making it more visible in direct sunlight. The protective glass is Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which is IP68 waterproof and dustproof.
The battery can run for more than 30 hours on a full charge, and up to 120 hours when using the Super Battery Saver.

AI Features and Camera Evolution with Tensor G4
The chipset is equipped with the proprietary “Google Tensor G4” and can take full advantage of the personal AI assistant “Gemini”.

In addition to “Gemini Live”, which allows for natural dialogue, it supports “Nano Banana”, which reconstructs and edits photos using AI. You can also use “Kakote Search” and “Virtual Try-on” that allow you to search around the items on the screen.
The camera consists of a two-lens camera, a 48 million pixel main camera and a 13 million pixel ultra-wide camera. For the first time in the “Pixel 10” series, the “Auto Best Take” that supports everyone in the group photo to look their best, and the “Camera Coach” that provides lighting and composition guidance using the Gemini model, are now installed for the first time in the A series.
