Mercedes-Benz Japan announces the special SUV model “Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC Edition 100” to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the finest brand “Mercedes-Maybach”. Pre-orders have started for 31 units limited to Japan (100 units limited to the world).
The Mercedes-Benz Maibach GLS 600 4MATIC Edition 100 is a special specification vehicle with exclusive interior and exterior based on Maibach’s first SUV “GLS 600 4MATIC” to enhance luxury.
For the exterior, a special two-tone paint that combines high-tech silver and notic blue is used for the body color. A specially designed 23-inch dark platinum dish plate wheel (forged) is attached to the feet. Combined with the chrome-treated air intake and high-gloss chrome undercover, it creates a refreshing and sophisticated sense of luxury.
The interior is decorated with crystal white nappa leather seats, nappa leather roof liner, and high-gloss black flowing line piano lacquer wood interior trim to create a beautiful and luxurious interior that embodies Mercedes Maybach. ..
The powertrain combines a direct-injection 4.0-liter V8 twin turbo with a 48V electric system and ISG (Integrated Starter Generator) to generate a maximum system output of 558ps / maximum torque of 730Nm. The 9-speed AT “9G tronic” and the four-wheel drive system “4MATIC” realize comfortable driving performance.
The price is 35.7 million yen with only the left-hand drive. Orders for the “Mercedes-Maibach GLS 600 4MATIC” (28.27 million yen), which had been temporarily suspended due to a shortage of parts supply, have also resumed. It is scheduled to be delivered in August as well as the special specification car.
