Orders for the Japan-limited special edition car “Defender 75+ EDITION” have begun.
Since the introduction of the current model in 2019, the “Defender” has undergone the first minor change for the 2026 model. Marking an important milestone in Japan’s history, the company has started accepting orders for the Japan-only special edition “75+ EDITION (Seventy Five Plus Edition)” limited to 300 units.
Since the Land Rover Series I first landed in Japan in 1950, it has inherited the spirit and belief of adventure for 75 years. This Japan-limited model is named “Defender 75+ EDITION” with 75 years of history, evolution, and hope for the future in “+”.
The tail door features a dedicated logo badge symbolically featuring the Roman numeral “LXXV,” which means “75,” which visually represents the brand’s history and innovation. The diagonally intersecting lines and three-dimensional forms are reminiscent of origami, a traditional Japanese craft. The color palette is vermilion, which symbolizes passion and formality, and highlights the beauty and sense of specialness unique to Japan-only models. The center console is also equipped with a metal badge with the words “75+ EDITION” engraved on it.
In addition to the Woolstone Green (metallic) added from the 2026 model, the exterior colors are available in three colors: Santorini Black (metallic) and Carpathian Gray (premium metallic). The interior is available with ebony or caraway windsor leather seats, and is equipped with user-rated functional options such as cold climate pack and air suspension pack users as standard.
