Google’s latest smartphone, the Pixel 10a, has started pre-orders in Japan from April 7th. The “Pixel A” series is particularly popular in Japan for its affordable price and high AI functions, but this model is the first Japan-only color “Isai Blue” in the Pixel series.[Photo]The actual machine of Isai Blue. Unique theme packs by Heralbony contract writers are also available.
■Why Pixel’s first “Japan-limited model” was born
Isai Blue is a Japan-only color to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Google Pixel. According to Kazuko Abe, regional director of Google Pixel Product Planning Asia Pacific Business Headquarters, the country-limited color development of the main unit (although there have been cases of limited wallpapers so far) is “the first attempt for Google Pixel and is very special.”
Key Features of Pixel 10a
●Google’s smartphone “Pixel” popular (inexpensive) model
– The camera bar protrusion is gone, and it is a completely flat design
●AI-strong, Google’s own Tensor G4 chip (one before the latest generation)
– The camera is a 48MP main + 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera. Plenty of AI editing features
● Support for up to 7 years of OS and security updates
● Battery for more than 30 hours under normal use
This Japan-only color was created by the “co-creation” of Heralbony, a company from Japan, and Google. Heralbony is working to improve the status of artists and return appropriate revenue by contracting artists with disabilities and commercializing their artworks.
Mr. Abe explained to Google headquarters the importance of the Japanese market, where the Pixel A series is highly regarded. He believed that Google’s philosophy that “technology should adapt to people, not people should adapt to technology”, the strong “human touch” radiated by the art of the Heralbony contract artist, and Heralbony’s mission of “Shine uniquely.”
“At the milestone of Pixel’s 10th anniversary, I think we will open up new possibilities by borrowing the power of Heralbony’s strength and humanity to express our gratitude to users and new challenges in the future. I worked on it with that in mind.”
