Acushnet Japan Inc. announced that it will release the Japan-exclusive and limited-quantity model “JAPAN LIMITED GOLO 6.2R” putter from the Scotty Cameron brand on July 16. The price is 154,000 yen (tax included).
This model was developed exclusively in Japan based on feedback from Japanese tour players. While following Scotty Cameron’s tour inspiration design philosophy, it is said to optimize feel, alignment, and operability for Japanese players.
The base model adopted is the “GOLO 6.2R,” which has been used by many Japanese tour players. It features a mid-mallet shape, a 303 stainless steel body finished with Tour Black PVD, and features a face insert, vibration-absorbing structure, and an aluminum sole that achieves high moments of inertia. It also features sight dots and sight lines to enhance alignment performance.
The design features a wave pattern inspired by the traditional Japanese pattern ‘Seigai-ha,’ as a Japan-exclusive model. The same design was incorporated into the soleplate and shaft bands. It also combines a tour black shaft, black pistre-grog lip, a Japan-exclusive shaft band, and a dedicated white head cover.
The main specifications include a 3.0-degree loft, 70-degree lie angle, and lengths of 33 inches and 34 inches. It is sold exclusively in Japan and in limited quantities. (Golf News Editorial Department, Gear & Goods Section)
