Bell & Ross has announced the “BR-05 Red Black Ceramic Japan Limited Edition” with strong contrast as a Japan-only model. Based on Bell & Ross’ iconic “circle in a square” design, this one combines a black ceramic case with a saturated red dial.

A Japan-only model with a black ceramic case is now available.
Bell & Ross has announced the “BR-05 Red Black Ceramic Japan Limited Model” limited to 99 pieces limited to Japan. This model combines a black ceramic case with a hairline finish and a polished finish, combined with a red dial, which is Bell & Ross’s iconic color code. Until now, this color code has often been used in models with a strong military taste, but in this work, the case design and finish give it a modern and urban finish.

Reinterpreting the color code of the iconic 2011 model
For Bell & Ross, the bold color code of red holds a special meaning. Its roots are the BR-01 Red Radar announced in 2011. It featured a graphical design inspired by an aircraft’s radar, with a red dial that resembled a radar screen and reproduced the way the beam mark scanned. This concept was inherited by the “BR-03 Red Radar” and became popular.

The BR-01 Red Radar was the catalyst for the creation of the iconic color code. The unique time display that resembles a radar screen is interesting.
Since the BR-01 Red Raider had a black case, the red dial and black case were now incorporated into the iconic color code in the Bell & Ross professional line.
The limited edition model announced this time reinterprets this color code and sublimates it into a new style by incorporating an urban design. The focus is on the case.
Textured ceramic case enhances contrast

Ceramics with high hardness are one of the most difficult materials to process, but this work has been polished and finished with a hairline like a high-end machine.
The case is made of black ceramic, with the hairline as the main body and the edges polished to create shine. The bracelet is polished with sesame seeds in the middle, and its shape stands out. The level of finishing of Bell & Ross’ exterior has increased in recent years, and the finish is probably one of the major highlights of this case.
Combined with this is a red dial with a sunray finish. The highly saturated, crisp and bright red color catches the eye, and combined with the shiny case finish, it gives it an urban look. The indexes and hour and minute hands are coated with Super-LumiNova, which is issued in white in light and orange in dark. It can be said that it is sporty and modern tailoring. This special design will be limited to 99 pieces in Japan.
