BMW X7 jet-black Japan limited model released Expressing Japanese beauty with the contrast of light and darkness
On May 8, BMW released a limited edition of 100 units of the BLACK-α, a limited-edition Japan model based on the X7, the top-of-the-line luxury model of the sports activity vehicle (SAV). Manufacturer’s suggested retail price: 16,250,000 yen ~ 21,400,000 yen (including consumption tax).

The X7 is a model with a luxurious and majestic design, a ride comfort suitable for a luxury model, and high practicality as a SAV that can seat up to 7 people. For 2022, the model has undergone some facelifts and features a new BMW Luxury face, consisting of twin circular and double lights that split into two halves and the iconic glowed donee grille.
The limited-edition model for Japan this time uses BMW Individual Special Paint’s “Frozen Black Metallic” as the body color. The twin circular and double lights that are divided into two parts, such as the top and bottom that shine like jewels, the black kidney grille with the iconic glow that shines in the dark and increases its presence, and the panoramic sky roof that resembles the brilliance of a pale star, express the contrast of the light that shimmers vividly from the colorless abyss and shines elegantly.
The wheels of the X7 xDrive40d Black Alpha are equipped with 22-inch M light alloy V-spoked styling 755M. The wheels of the X7 M60i xDrive Black Alpha are complemented by 23-inch BMW Individual light alloy wheels with V-spokes styling 914L bi-color.
In addition, the X7 M60i xDrive Black Alpha features high-gloss black M-door mirror covers for a sportier and more stylish design, and the tailgate-mounted model batch is black.
The model will be limited to 100 units, with 90 units of the X7 xDrive40d Black Alpha being sold on a first-come, first-served basis at authorized BMW dealers, and nine units of the X7 M60i xDrive Black Alpha being ordered on a first-come, first-served basis on the dedicated website.
The remaining X7 M60i xDrive Black Alpha will be presented to the winner of the BMW Japan Golf Tour Championship Mori Building Cup, which will be held at Shishido Hills Country Club on June 5~8, with BMW as the title sponsor.
