[Dr. Martin]A special edition model with a modern update with the theme of “THE GREY STITCH” COLLECTION TOKYO limited to Japan is now available.

Since his birth in the UK, Dr. Martin has continued to walk with music and culture.

Based on the iconic 8-hole boot “1460” and 3-hole shoe “1461”, the Japan-exclusive “1460 BEX ZIP” and “1461 BEX” silhouette “THE GREY STITCH” will be available.

With a silhouette with a BEX (mid-thick sole) sole derived from the brand’s iconic silhouette and more chic gray stitching, the GREY STITCH is a special specification that pays homage to Japan’s fashion sensibilities and craftsmanship.

The “monochrome aesthetic” that is different from the global collection and combines sophistication and calmness has been completed here. Staying authentic and constantly creating new value – the collection is a symbol of that spirit.

The story of Dr. Martin began with “THE 1460 BOOT” born in 1960. Subcultures, music, streets – the iconic boots that have supported them all – this season will create new value under the theme of “return to the origins and evolution”.

The visual campaign, which featured Suchmos’ vocalist YONCE, reinterpreted the brand’s spirit with a modern sensibility with the message “To those who create new value while cherishing the past.”

The photographer of this collection is Tomokazu Yamada, who is highly regarded both domestically and internationally as a filmmaker and photographer.

His works have been exhibited not only in music videos, commercials, and video works, but also in fashion magazines and art photography exhibitions, and are characterized by their expressions that capture realistic urban landscapes and layers of deep memory. Dr. Martin’s theme of “creating new value while cherishing the past” is consistent with Yamada’s approach to visualizing “time, memory, and place”.

The campaign visual will be released from November 28th (Friday), with a new gorgeous cast taken by Tomokazu Yamada.

“1460” began production on April 1, 1960. 65 years after its birth, a Japan-exclusive model with striking welt stitching in a new gray is available. The upper is made of smooth smooth leather, and everything from the upper to the outsole is black. The gray welt stitching creates an elegant contrast in the monochrome.

The eyelets and side zips are made of metallic silver hardware, and the heel loops are specially made of black × silver. Equipped with a BEX sole, it achieves a voluminous silhouette. In addition to the black round lace, metallic silver and gray flat lace are also included. This pair expands the range of styling.

ABOUT YONCE

In 2019, just four years after his debut, he achieved a one-man show at his hometown of Yokohama Stadium with 30,000 people, and in 2021, he announced that he would take a hiatus. Since forming Suchmos in 2013, they have released three albums, one mini-album, and four EPs and singles. It is characterized by a stretched, delicate and lustrous voice, and a rock ‘n’ roll voice that sometimes shouts violently and powerfully. Oris, an independent Swiss watch brand, has announced its first Japan-limited model, the Aquis Japan Limited Edition. Released on November 12th, limited to 100 pieces, priced at 495,000 yen. The sleek white dial is complemented by red accents, blending the beauty of Japan and Switzerland.

This new product is a limited edition model based on Oris’ “Aquis Date Relief”. The lacquered white dial is enhanced by the brand logo and the bright red color inserted into the second hand. This color scheme is also common to the flags of Japan and Switzerland, and it is said that Oris pays homage to Japan’s culture. It may seem surprising, but this is the first time for Oris to release a Japan-limited model.

The white dial emits a delicate light depending on the viewing angle, and the composition resonates with the relief bezel. Applied indexes and Super-LumiNova-coated hands ensure high visibility even in the dark.

The 43.5mm stainless steel case features a full-fledged diver’s specification with an anti-reverse rotation relief bezel and crown guard. It has a high water resistance of 30 atmospheres (300 meters), making it suitable for professional environments.

The caseback is a see-through stainless steel and mineral glass threaded version, engraved with the “JAPAN LIMITED EDITION” and a limited serial number.
