On June 21, 2024, Jaguar Land Rover Japan introduced the Range Rover SV Bespoke 1858 Edition (limited to 4 units) and the Range Rover SV Bespoke Balmoral Edition (limited to 5 units) as bespoke special edition models limited to Japan.
The Bespoke 1858 Edition expresses the connection between Japan culture and Britain
The two limited-edition models will be produced exclusively in the Japan market using the SV Bespoke Service, a personalization program introduced in 2023, to further strengthen the exclusive, modern luxury Range Rover brand.
In collaboration with the SV design team in the UK, it is a special model that took 12 months to develop, from concept to bespoke painting and finishing.
The Range Rover SV Bespoke 1858 Edition is named after the year of the signing of the Anglo-Japanese Treaty of Amity and Commerce between the two countries in 1858, establishing diplomatic relations between Japan and the United Kingdom, and is based on the long-wheelbase SV P615 LWB with a special design inspired by Japan culture.
The monotone exterior and interior are inspired by ink painting from the Muromachi period, one of the painting methods that have existed in Japan for a long time, and in order to express the “blur” often used in ink painting, a bespoke light gray exterior color that is as close to white as possible has been developed, and this color is also used for the aluminum wheel inserts.
On the other hand, by adopting a slightly darker bespoke gray for the roof color, it is also a point to shade the whole so that it does not become monotonous. In addition, the “RANGE ROVER” badge is decorated with a brighter chrome than the regular model, making the logo clearly visible when viewed from the rear.
The interior is also a special combination only available for the “1858 EDITION”, with cinder gray seats for the front seats and light cloud seats (cinder gray interior) for the rear seats. The shoulders of the seats are embroidered with an original design inspired by the patterns of Japan kimonos, and together with the trim finishers and white shift control, an exceptional interior space that combines luxury and purity at a high level is realized.
The number of units sold is limited to 4 units, and the vehicle price is 48.5 million yen.

Derived from the British royal family’s Balmoral Castle, the “Bespoke Balmoral Edition”
The other “Range Rover SV Bespoke Balmoral Edition” is a model derived from Balmoral Castle owned by the British royal family in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
The first generation four-door Range Rover sold in the 1980s also had a lineup of exterior colors called Balmoral Green, which was reinterpreted in a modern style, and a new color exclusive to this model, a brighter and more transparent bespoke green with a more luxurious texture, was developed. This is combined with the roof, mirror covers, and aluminum wheel inserts in bespoke gray to express a discreet personality that is not too glamorous.
The base vehicle is the standard wheelbase SV P615, and the interior has a good texture and uses Ultrafabrics, which emits less CO2 than leather in the manufacturing process, and pursues luxury while also being environmentally friendly. In addition, the light cloud front and cinder gray rear have been adopted, and the front and rear seats and color scheme of the “1858 Edition” have been reversed.
In addition, it is finished with a satin white ceramic trim finisher, which is not available on the regular model, to create a cleaner and brighter atmosphere.
The number of units sold is limited to 5 units, and the vehicle price is 38.66 million yen.
