There are various theories about the origin of the name ‘Wako’, and it is said that the name was given to wish for the arrival of an era of peace. Inspired by this, the blue sky, which is also a symbol of peace, was expressed on the dial of the 1975 limited edition model in the traditional Japanese color “Misorairo”.
“Misorairo” is a respectful name for the sky, and it is a bright and clear blue color like the autumn sky. The sky-blue color of the clock is sure to calm your mind every time you look at it.

Another point is the embossed pattern that expresses the appearance of the scaly clouds, which are said to symbolize the arrival of autumn, in the blue sky. You can feel the refreshing autumn sky three-dimensionally from the dial.
In addition, 2022 will be the 75th anniversary of the founding of Wako. For that reason, we put a casual design on the dial to express the year of the milestone. The GMT hand and the GMT 7 and 5 are pink gold, which is an image of the soft autumn sunlight, creating a beautiful contrast.
In addition to the lion crest on the back cover, the letters “WAKO 75th ANNIVERSARY LIMITED COLLECTION” are printed. Finished with a special feeling.
