Yamaha’s 40th Anniversary Model Released
Yamaha Motor has announced the 2026 watercraft “WaveRunner”.
The “Wave Runner” will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2026. To commemorate this, it has been decided to release the 40th anniversary model “FX JAPAN LIMITED” exclusively in Japan. In addition, the “JetBlaster PRO” is also available as a new model.
In addition to the “FX JAPAN LIMITED” and “JetBlaster PRO”, the 2026 model will be available in six models: the current models “FX Cruiser SVHO”, “FX Cruiser HO”, “VX Cruiser HO”, and “SuperJet”.
The four existing models of the FX Cruiser SVHO, FX Cruiser HO, VX Cruiser HO, and SuperJet have new liveries and graphics.
New model “JetBlaster PRO”
“JetBlaster PRO” was developed with the concept of “recreational light” with the aim of being a “wave runner” that everyone can enjoy. The weight is reduced by using polypropylene on the deck, and you can enjoy light and agile driving performance while also enjoying light maneuvering.
The engine is equipped with the well-established TR-1 HO (1049cm³/80.9kW), which achieves light and agile driving performance. While keeping the price affordable, it maximizes the charm of operating the “wave runner”.
Two colors are available, blue and red, to expand user choices.
The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is 2,254,505 yen (including consumption tax and legal safety equipment).
Japan-only 40th anniversary model “FX JAPAN LIMITED”
“FX JAPAN LIMITED” is a limited edition model released to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the release of the “Japan Wave Runner”.
Based on the flagship “FX Cruiser SVHO”, the coloring is “wine red”, which is an aging accent color “red” of the “MJ-500T” of the first “Wave Runner (then called Marine Jet)” released in 1986, “wine red” is used for each part.
It uses a block pattern graphic inspired by the “strobe design” of 1986.
In addition, the front side, swimming step, reboarding step, and back of the seat are decorated with various logos reminiscent of the 40th anniversary, highlighting the special feeling as a commemorative model.
The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is 3,821,125 yen (including consumption tax and legal safety equipment).
