The news of the yearend is the release of the Chronomat B01 42 Japan Limited, a Japan limited edition model featuring an unprecedented icy gray dial and a one-tone color with a gray rubber strap.

Belle & Ross, a watch brand with French and Swiss heritage and roots in aircraft instrument development, has announced a limited edition “BR-03 Chrono El Rouge” with the aviation story of Japan and France as a backdrop. 99 bottles will be sold only in Japan.

French aviator André Japy took on the challenge of a 100-hour solo flight to Paris France in 1936. The attempt was hampered by bad weather over Kyushu and crashed, but rescue efforts by local people saved his life and contributed to connecting the aviation industry between Japan and France. And now, the “Red Wings” project is underway to restore the “Caudron Simoun”, which is the same type of airplane used at the time, and to complete the challenge across generations.

The “BR-03 Chrono El Rouge” is a wristwatch born from sympathy for such a joint project between Japan and France, and based on the iconic design “BR-03” with a circle in a square, the coloring of the Caudron Simoun, which is scheduled to be restored, has been dropped.

The bright red dial is inscribed with the words “Ailes Rouges,” which means “red wings” in French, and the year 1936, when the challenge began, and the year 2024, when the game was born, and the small seconds are designed with an illustration of Caudron Simoun.

The calf leather belt with the motif of the seat to be restored is also put together in red, further emphasizing the red of passion.

At the heart is the Cal.BR-CAL.301 automatic movement with a power reserve of 42 hours. The serial number is also engraved on the back pig.
