Japan-limited model is now available
McLaren Automotive has announced that it will introduce a special model of the McLaren GTS, a rear-wheel drive grand touring car equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, the GTS Signature Collection, exclusively in Japan.
The Japan market is steadily moving forward, ranking second in the world in terms of McLaren’s sales by country in 2024. The GTS Signature Collection is a limited edition of 22 units of four types for the Japan market.

The GTS Signature Collection is based on four themes: Hawthorne, Paragon, Rotonda, and Reflection, which are inspired by the philosophy and harmony between science and nature and the architectural design of McLaren’s home base at the McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) in Walking, UK.
MTC was designed by Sir Norman Foster, who designed Hong Kong International Airport and Tokyo’s Century Tower. The essence of its design is balance and harmony, and the GTS Signature Collection reflects this unique design concept and the inspiration drawn from McLaren’s history.

Each of the four themes is made of its own MSO (McLaren Special Operations) bespoke tailoring, which pays homage to the iconic McLaren home, from the body color to the interior.
The exterior of all four themes is deliberately understated, but the body color was developed for this limited edition model, and each of them has a unique story related to the MTC.
The wheels, which are available in two colors, are also the first colors to be adopted in the GTS. In addition, the mirror housing is decorated with a delicate pattern with an MTC motif, allowing the driver to feel the design philosophy of this particular model from the moment he approaches the car.
The interior further deepens its relationship with MTC, and shapes extracted from architectural design are placed throughout.
The MTC logo, which expresses “yin and yang” used on the headrests, is embroidered to blend in with the seat fabric, and the fascia plate on the passenger side dashboard beautifully stands out with the backlight.
The fascia plate of the door is designed by cutting out a part of the bird’s-eye view from MTC’s design drawings, and is sewn into the same color tonal stitching, giving it a finish that makes you feel like “McLaren’s home” down to the smallest detail.
