McLaren 750S JC96
McLaren Automotive announced the 750S JC96, a special model limited to Japan on September 10. This model is the first model for the Japan market only, and will be sold in a limited edition of 61 units.
McLaren presents a special model limited to 61 units in Japan
The 750S JC96 pays homage to the F1 GTR, which won the drivers’ championship at the All Japan GT Championship (JGTC) in 1996. Named after the car number No. 61 of the John Nielsen/David Brabham pair, only 61 units will be sold.
The body type can be selected from coupe and spider. In addition to a unique paint job inspired by Team Gou’s F1 GTR at the 1996 JGTC, it features interior equipment reminiscent of the F1 GTR and new 15-spoke ultra-lightweight forged alloy wheels. In addition, the “MSO High Downforce Kit (HDK)” for the 750S, which improves aerodynamic performance, is standard equipment, and it will be equipped on the Spider for the first time.
The HDK was once developed for the “F1 LM” and was further evolved to be equipped with the 1996 specification F1 GTR. Inspired by this, the 750S JC96’s HDK features a series of components that work together to enhance aerodynamic performance.
The improved front bumper is equipped with an enlarged dual-element splitter, a raised active rear spoiler with integrated end plates, and a louvered underwing panel. The downforce is said to be increased by 10% compared to the base model.
The design reproduces the characteristic “tiger stripe” of the F1 GTR
The F1 GTR, which entered the race as a tag team between McLaren and Team Gou, features a “tiger stripe” design that combines rocket pink and tarmac gray. In the 750S JC96, exclusive details based on this exterior design are displayed on the front splitter, rear wing end plates, and door mirror casing.
Four details are available: “Memphis Red”, “Titanium Silver”, “Ice White”, and “Graphite Gray”. These colors were carefully selected to harmonize with the 750S’s wide range of body colors.
In addition, four “JC96 Tribute Liveries” will be prepared by MSO, which are hand-made with tiger stripe details on the entire body.
In addition, the interior is equipped with a pedal set reminiscent of Formula 1, a drive select switch and a unique commemorative plate, all finished in gold. The headrests and armrests are also decorated with the specially made JC96 logo.
