Kamoi Processing Paper Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture), which manufactures “mt masking tape” for stationery and miscellaneous goods, will hold “mt × Kaweco” at two venues in Tokyo and Osaka prefectures.
To commemorate our first collaboration with Kaweco, a long-established fountain pen brand founded in Heidelberg, Germany in 1883, we will be selling limited edition masking tape with fountain pen motifs and MT design Kaweco writing instruments for limited time at the venue.
We will weave together the histories of each manufacturer that has been in business for more than 100 years and express the new possibilities of stationery created through collaboration.
About Kaweco
Kaweco was founded in 1883 in Heidelberg, Germany by Heinrich Koch and Rudolf Weber, and was named Kaweco after their names.
He is also known for launching a safety fountain pen with a safety retractable type that incorporated groundbreaking technology in 1909.
The Kaweco Sport, released in the 1930s, was also certified as an official pen for the 1972 Munich Olympics. “Kaweco Sport” is a product that combines functionality and portability in a classic image.
In 1976, Kaweco was temporarily closed, but in 1994 it was reprinted by Gut Barrett in Nuremberg, Germany. Since then, many pens have been reprinted that retain the appearance of those days.
