A limited edition featuring the 2026 zodiac sign “Noon” with a maki-e motif of a yabu horse

Shooting arrows from a galloping horse and shooting through the target, Yabusame, an ancient archery technique in Japan. It was operated as a samurai training and Shinto ritual, and its origins date back to the Heian period. While the cherry blossoms are dancing, the active figure of an archer and a white horse dressed in hunting costumes on a deep green stage is depicted in high maki-e. No two patterns are the same in the deep Italian resin marble pattern. The 18K medium letter nib allows for smooth and comfortable writing.
In the Yamanaka Onsen area, one of the three major lacquerware producing areas in Ishikawa Prefecture, this fountain pen is highly artistic, carefully produced one by one by traditional craftsmen.

In the fall of 2024, ROMEO’s history began in 1914 during the Taisho era with a fountain pen, taking a new step forward with the concept of “Moment of Dis-covery.” The newly developed fountain pen 18K nib is designed with a “quarter rest” for music based on ROMEO’s new concept, which is to “rediscover the beautiful things and connections with people around us by giving time to beat in our daily lives by handwriting.” In addition, the crown, which is an iconic design part of the ROMEO No.3 series, has the motif of a watch crown, which contains the message that “I want you to spend your precious time with this writing instrument.” The intricately engraved stainless steel logo badge adds a subtle touch of quality.

The fabric cushion and Sanada string that protect the fountain pen in the paulownia box are one of ROMEO’s brand colors, “Komurasaki”, which is based on traditional Japan colors. In consideration of environmental impact, we eliminate plastic materials in packaging as much as possible. The traditional Japan culture is incorporated into the traditional style of Sanada string fastening, such as adopting the style of obi fastening of Japanese clothing.
Time to inhale ink into a fountain pen, time to write down ideas in a notebook, time to write letters and diaries… In our daily lives in the digital wave, the “moment of discovery” comes by daring to take a breather by handwriting. A rare collection with a limited edition of 30 pieces and serial numbers, suitable for sharing such important moments together. It is a gem that is recommended as a gift, housed in a paulownia box signed by a traditional craftsman.

Nebula of Light with Marble Pattern Limited Quantity No.3 Ballpoint Pen
In the distance, a nebula (Nebula) drifts in a silent universe. The image seen through the telescope is colorful, beautiful, and fantastic, just like a painting. Flickering light and gorgeous colors that spread out as if they were oozing. The one-of-a-kind marble pattern, which seems to capture a momentary scene in the universe, emerges on a transparent resin shaft. As if new lights are born from the nebula, which is the place where stars are born, important words and thoughts are spun from the tip of the pen – each with a very different expression. A gorgeous bottle that will color the holiday season can be used as a gift for your own collection or loved ones. Please find your favorite one at each Itoya store.
