Chopard’s iconic Happy Diamond watch collection is now available in an exclusive Japan edition. The 18-carat ethical rose gold model, set with five iconic moving diamonds and featuring a dial of navy blue aventurine that shines like a starry sky, will be available in a limited edition of 50 pieces in Chopard boutiques and Chopard stores nationwide from Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
Eternal Joie de Vivre “The Joy of Living”
Since its inception in 1976, Happy Diamond has been a one-of-a-kind creation that vividly reflects the Maison’s artisanal talent, embodying the “free” spirit of women who have the art of everyday splendour, joie de vivre and the art of colouring life. The evocative movement gives the diamond a distinctive twirling movement that playfully and freely carves the eternal Joie de Vivre.
A 26 mm “Happy Diamond” watch with a rounded and feminine shape. Its unique and iconic design features a central case with an hour and minute hand surrounded by a diamond-set seconds bezel in 18K ethical rose gold. Between the two sapphire crystals, five moving diamonds swing and resonate with the diamonds at 12 and 6 o’clock. And the push button for adjusting the time on the back of the case, which can be said to be the crystallization of the atelier’s brain. By removing the crown on the side of the case, the watch maintains the perfect circle drawn by the watch while still giving it a light finish. In a stage of eternal joyous dance, the brilliant steps of “Happy Diamond” are choreography that Chopard has been directing since the birth of the Moving Diamond.
Aventurine glass with a mysterious brilliance
Now, the watch, with its 18-carat ethical rose gold case and blue aventurine glass dial, joins the collection as a limited edition of 50 pieces in Japan. Aventurine glass, with its deep blue and sparkling inclusions, is said to be the product of “chance”. In the 17th century, it is said that a craftsman in Murano’s workshop accidentally dropped copper shavings into the melted glass. This interesting result is named “aventurine” after the Italian word “peravventura”, which means “coincidence”. This navy blue glass, which sparkles mysteriously and evokes a starry sky, has already been used on the dial of the “Happy Sport” watch and the “Happy Heart” jewelry, but this is the first time that the dial of the “Happy Diamond” watch will be decorated. This very exclusive new watch, which can only be purchased in Japan, will be sold in a limited edition of only 50 pieces. Don’t miss it!
