Ball Watch, a Swiss watch brand that develops sturdy and highly functional mechanical watches, has announced two new models from the popular “Engineer Hydrocarbon” series that will be limited to Japan.
It is based on the NEDU, a professional-use diver’s chronograph developed to celebrate “The US Navy Experimental Diving Unit” and incorporates the world’s first patented technology to incorporate an automatic pressure reducing valve into the crown, as well as other latest specs.

It is equipped with professional use functions throughout, including the patented “Crown Built-in Automatic Pressure Reducing Valve” technology that incorporates an automatic pressure reducing valve in the crown, the unidirectional rotating bezel with ceramic inserts, and the unique “Safety Lock Crown System” that protects the entire crown from impacts. The high functionality of 4800A/m antimagnetic function and 7500Gs shock resistance performance is also a big attraction.

The biggest feature of this Japan limited specification is the dial. It uses blue-colored mother-of-pearl (MOP) made from processed mother-of-pearl shells, and has a beautiful complex color, pattern, and pale luster derived from the material.
The hands and indexes are equipped with the Ball Watch’s unique luminous micro-gaslight system, and the bezel scales are coated with Super-LumiNova to ensure visibility in the dark.
The extremely sealed case is made of grade 5 titanium, which achieves a weight reduction that is different from the strength of appearance. Grade 5 titanium is twice as hard as pure titanium (grade 2), has excellent corrosion resistance, and has a color closer to the appearance of stainless steel than the color of pure titanium. The bracelet with a robust folding clasp that can withstand a weight of 140 kg is also a highlight.
The movement is equipped with the Swiss C.O.S.C. certified chronometer “Cal. RR1402-C” that proves high accuracy. There are two color variations in the lineup: the chic “black ceramic bezel” and the “blue ceramic bezel” featuring a calm navy.
The planned selling price for both is 693,000 yen. The number of bottles limited to 50 is limited to 50 pieces worldwide. Pre-orders will start at authorized retailers nationwide and Japan’s official online shop from June 2025. At the official online shop, you can choose the model with the desired serial number.
